There’s so many delicious gummie recipes around and they are such a great way to trick our little ones in to consuming vitamins and gut lovin gelatin! But they’re not just for our children, they’re for big kids too!
I adapted this recipe from Bubba Yum Yum, just using a tiny bit more juice and stevia instead of honey due to our fructose issues. You can apply this recipe to any flavor of gummie. Just use 1 cup of your desired juice and follow the rest of the recipe.
I often make this with whatever citrus I have on hand, limes, lemons, oranges etc. Once all mixed, heated, stirred and cooled a little, I stir in Liposomal Vitamin C to add some easily absorbed vitamin C! I can only find this from i-herb and it’s not cheap, so use code: GAN2478 & code AU2018 to receive a small discount if you’re a first time iherb-er!
Other options to add to the gummies for high potency vitamin C are Camu Camu powder or Kakadu Plum powder.
I use a few drops of stevia as a sweetener (also from iherb – Use discount codes above) but you can use an organic or manuka honey to taste if you prefer.

- Place gelatin and filtered water in a bowl and stir til well combined. Leave to bloom.
- Juice your choice of citrus fruit. You should aim for about 1 cup of juice.
- Place bloomed gelatin in a heavy bottomed saucepan, add low to medium heat and stir constantly until gelatin is dissolved.
- Pour in citrus juice and either Camu Camu or Kakadu Plum powder if using, and stir well until just before boiling point.
- Take off heat and stir in honey or stevia to taste.
- If you are using Liposomal Vitamin C, wait until mix has cooled but not set to whisk it in.
- Pour into moulds or glass dish to set. Should be ready within 30 mins. Remove from mould or slice into squares if using glass dish and store in airtight container.
- Note: You can freeze these and thaw out before eating. I often freeze half of my batch and add a frozen one to Meika's lunch box and it's ready by the time she eats it.
